Supraphon
Supraphon has been the voice of Czech music since its beginnings in the late 60s. It has been releasing both Czech and international music, with a huge influence on distribution and copyright. Its portfolio includes not only legends of Czech music but also global stars. Creating a new website for them (one that's literally filled with music) was something we simply couldn’t pass up!
The Challenge
Creating a modern website that serves as a hub for music distribution. One that brings together fans of both 'oldies but goldies' and fresh new hits, while also offering the opportunity to explore Supraphon’s rich history. It is supposed to appeal to dedicated music lovers, curious explorers, and anyone who just wants to dive a little deeper.
The solution
To achieve this, we focused on creating a user-friendly website that not only allows visitors to easily browse and stream music previews but also offers a significantly improved search experience compared to the old site. With advanced filters, intuitive navigation, and seamless integration of music playback, the new platform ensures that users can quickly find what they're looking for, whether it's a classic track or the latest release, on a computer or a compact mobile screen..
A More Intuitive and Enjoyable User Experience
One of the key innovations of the new Supraphon website is the much-improved user experience that ensures easy navigation without overwhelming the visitor.The menu is divided into three simple categories:Jsem umělec (I’m an Artist),Chci poslouchat (I Want to Listen), andChci hudbu (I Want Music). This clear structure helps users easily find what they’re looking for.
Jsem umělec offers services for artists, a list of artists represented by Supraphon, and a link to Prodejhudbu.cz for digital distribution.
Chci poslouchat provides a dedicated artist page with biographies, news, and albums, as well as a section for spoken word content featuring narrators and a link to Supraphon’s podcast page.
Finally, Chci hudbu offers options for booking, licensing, and influencer marketing.
Mobile Responsiveness
The new website features a vastly improved search system that allows users to quickly find exactly what they're looking for. With advanced filters, predictive text, and refined categories, navigating through Supraphon’s extensive music library has never been easier. In addition, each title card includes personalized recommendations linked to the specific album or track, making discovery even more enjoyable. You’ll also find direct links to purchase albums or individual tracks with short previews.
Result
With a more up to date visual approach, fans can now explore Supraphon’s vast catalogue with ease and listen to song samples right on the album pages. Easier access to content should lead to a noticeable boost in streams and sales, while streamlined content management and integration with digital platforms should ensure better music distribution and greater reach to fans. And with a fully responsive design, everything works just as smoothly on mobile as it does on desktop.
